I am a pretty down-to-earth kind of person. I'm 37, have been married to a very wonderful and supportive fella for the past 13 years. We have two amazingly wonderful, beautiful free-spirited daughters who keep us on our toes every day.

I'm a bit of a lost soul at times.  I have struggled with depression, but I try very hard to be thankful every day.  I am exploring my spirituality.  I'm trying with each and every passing second to reinvent myself and live the life I deserve and be the person I want to be.

I have always been overweight. My journey started with a single step in August of 2009. That is when I decided to start this blog and begin getting serious about my weight loss. Although I have stuttered and stopped along the way, I'm still committed to this endeavor and am delighted to be making friends along the way!
