Funk

How do you guys kick the crap out of a funk?
What are three things you do that are guaranteed to blast you out of one?

  2. Hey Colleen,

    I put a new post on my blog about that. The biggest thing for me...is to move. Acknowledge that you're having these thoughts - that's a huge step towards victory. Then, move. It doesn't have to be much...but owning those thoughts, and then physically moving can do wonders.

  3. I'm sorry to hear you are still in a funk. Funks suck. My quickest funk buster is to listen to some rocking tunes on my iPod and dance around my house. Granted it's not a cure all for a deep dark funk, but it's something to get moving and put a smile on my face.

  4. I try to be aware of my blessings and live with an attitude of gratitude as they say. (ever wondered who "they" is?) As I consider the suffering in Japan and Haiti, how can I not be thankful and happy?

  5. I just had a February-long funk...
    I reminded myself why I'm in this and made a plan...I find writing it down helps!

  6. Try and change up your routine a little - I find that I get into patterns that help me stay focused, but occasionally I get bored and it's counterproductive. So I'll make a small change - mix up what day of the week is my rest days, or switch from plain yogurt to Greek yogurt for a little while. They're not monumental, but it's enough to shake things up a bit!
